Setting up and Configuring Synology Hyper Backup for Data Protection
Step 1: Install Hyper Backup
1. Log in to your Synology NAS and open the Package Center.
2. Search for "Hyper Backup" and click on "Install" to download and install the package.
Step 2: Create a Backup Task
1. Launch Hyper Backup from the main menu or desktop shortcut.
2. Click on the "Create" button to start a new backup task.
3. Choose the type of data you want to back up (e.g., files, applications, or system configurations).
4. Select the backup destination, which can be another Synology NAS, an external hard drive, or a cloud service such as Dropbox or Google Drive.

Step 4: Review and Start the Backup Task

2. If everything looks good, click on "Apply" to save the backup task.
3. You can also enable email notifications to receive backup status updates.
4. To start the backup task immediately, click on "Backup Now" or you can wait for the scheduled backup to take place.
Step 5: Monitoring and Restoring Data
1. In the main Hyper Backup interface, you can monitor the progress and status of your backup tasks.
2. To restore data, click on the "Restore" button and select the backup version/date you want to restore from.
3. Choose the files/folders you wish to restore and specify the restore location.
4. Click on "Restore" to begin the restoration process.
